How to get to Benidorm
To get in Benidorm, you probably will take one of the tens of daily flights to Alicante Airport; that departs from most major European cities serviced by over 30 low cost and scheduled airlines. Benidorm is at 37Km away from Alicante; 47Km distance on the road.
By transfer
There are many online shuttle services to Benidorm for 3€ to 10€ each way.
You can choose between private transfers, shared transfers on selected routes or group transfers; depending on your needs or budget. And in about 40-60 minutes you will be ready to go at Benidorm.
If you are organized you will probably book it from home; but in case of improvisation, you can also contact the company once you arrive to the Alicante Airport and ask them to drive you straight to your doorstep.
By train
Benidorm is served by trams from Alicante (journey 70 minutes) which is about 2KM from the town centre. You will need your ticket's barcode to get out of the station. The schedules are not.
Benidorm has a good local bus service which connects to local towns such as Altea, Alicante and Calpe. Most visitors pre-book with the many transfer companies who offer cheap transport from Alicante airport direct to recognised Hotels.
From Alicante airport Licensed taxis operate from the terminal building with a journey time of 30-45 minutes to Benidorm. As taxi drivers have to pay a heavy fee to get a taxi licence, this is reflected in the fares charged.
Benidorm is well connected to the rest of Spain via the national motorway network. Madrid and Barcelona are under 5 hours drive. Benidorm is close to the Autopista 7. Ask your hotel for private parking or the nearest public ones.
